The Ajax Lions Club, continuing its long-standing support of community health care, has made a generous donation of $5,000 towards the Image is Everything campaign, to bring an MRI to the Ajax and Pickering site of the Rouge Valley Health System.
On January 26, Rouge Valley Health System Foundation staff attended a gift celebration with the Ajax Lions Club, in recognition of this meaningful contribution. This donation came about because members of the Ajax Lions Club know that many people rely on Rouge Valley Ajax and Pickering for their health care.
"The Ajax Lions Club has been an integral part of the Durham community, and I am very proud that we're supporting this great MRI campaign," says Bill Pinder, Director of the Ajax Lions Club. "My hope is that this Club will be one of many that will support this important project at Rouge Valley Ajax and Pickering hospital."
The Image is Everything Campaign is raising funds to bring an MRI to RVAP so that our families, friends and neighbours can be cared for close to home. The commitment of this local service club, to the hospital, shows the strength of the community, and that together we can make great things happen!
