Poker players going All in for Hearts at Casino Rouge


Excitement will wear a black tie to sit down at the poker table this October, ready to go all in for hearts at the tiff. Bell Lightbox, because when it comes to excitement, the name of the game is Casino Rouge.

Look for most of the action at the prestigious Oct. 14 event to be at the card tables, when 99 players vie to be the inaugural Texas Hold 'em champion at this unique fundraising event. Casino Rouge will also feature poker cash tables, blackjack, roulette, watching and learning from celebrity pro Chris Moneymaker and Poker After Dark announcer Ali Nejad, a jazz lounge, spa, exclusive cinema, cuisine by Oliver and Bonacini and more.

Organizers of the gala evening of chance and intrigue are excited to be able to open the doors to the tiff. Bell Lightbox, a venue that is attracting a great deal of attention in Toronto. “We are really fortunate to be able to hold our event at such an exclusive location,” says Casino Rouge co-chair, Dr. Ashok Mukherjee. “It is an amazing setting for what is going to be a sophisticated evening, on par with a night in Monte Carlo.”

Proceeds go to the Heart of It All campaign to purchase echocardiogram equipment for both Rouge Valley Health System sites.

Tickets are $350 each and a receipt is issued for the eligible portion of the price. A special opportunity awaits guests who want to “put their heart into it” and fundraise in support of the event: poker players who raise a minimum of $2,000 are eligible to be one of 9 players seated with World Series of Poker champion Chirs Moneymaker.
