The halls of Rouge Valley Ajax and Pickering hospital are brighter and bolder once again, thanks to some friends in the local arts scene.
Community artists know that they can make a difference to the lives of patients and visitors at their hospital. Their paintings bring a smile, their creativity lifts spirits, their images help us imagine another world. The Foundation hears these comments from patients, visitors and staff on a regular basis and shares the feedback with our contributing artists.
Spearheaded by OR nurse Alma Kelley, the latest display of paintings was unveiled on April 25.
Displayed in three different areas on the main floor at RVAP, the community artists donate their works to be displayed at the hospital for several months and even donate a portion of the sale to the Foundation if the display leads to the sale of the work.
