Makeup: Pink Lips and Cheeks

Happy Tuesday! :D

Official first day of Summer -- wooooohoooooo!!! :)

Nothing epic has happened to my Summer yet, but I'm always hoping that a fun adventure is just around the corner. Oh, and Sephora has already emailed me that I can go pick up my birthday gift -- my 21st birthday is in two weeks?! :O

Speaking of Sephora (and my birthday, haha), I really want to get myself a bright pink lipstick. I think it's time for me to give it a try. :)

Photobucket

I love the way it looks! I love red lipstick too, but I think a bright pink lip color would bring out everyone's fun side! And it's such a summer color - very vibrant, youthful, and fun. :D

Besides bright pink lipstick, I also want to try a bright pink blush like the one they have above.

Do you guys have any suggestions -- what lipstick and blush should I try?

Here are some celebrities sporting pink lips and cheeks:

Rihanna and Kate Bosworth

Alexis Bledel (She's so pretty!)

Gwen Stefani

Emma Stone

Lauren Conrad

What do you think of pink lips and cheeks?

Have a fantastic week, everyone! :)

Celebrity Marketplace: Spring Collections

Happy Wednesday! :D

I know there are a lot of celebrities out there who have their own fashion lines, but I don't really have anything from any of those collections.

Have you bought anything from any celebrity fashion line?

Here are some items that caught my eye from some celebrity Spring collections:

Photobucket

Jessica Simpson Collection:

Tulip Tunic Dress, $128

This dress is soooooo pretty! I can imagine this worn to a graduation, or a casual summer backyard wedding. :)

Naomi Satchel, $108

This bag is available in other colors, but I really love this yellow one.

Cactus, $79

Wedges are great - they give you height while still being comfortable.

Olsenboye for JCPenney:

I'm not sure if this line is just for teenagers, but they have really cute stuff (and so affordable too!).

Lace Ruffle Dress, $24.99

I think a dress like this should be a staple in our summer wardrobe. :)

Bow Front Tank Dress, $24.99

This one is cute for a day out - shopping and running errands.

Isabelle sandals, $40 (on sale for $29.99)

House of Harlow 1960:

Oval Finger Ring, $35

My classmate was wearing this ring the other day, and it looks so good when worn!

Tribal Circle Pendant with Cabochons in Gold/Coral, $145

I love the combination of gold and coral.

Coin Drop Earrings, $97

I can imagine this worn with simple jeans and a white tee - make sure the earrings take center stage! ;)

Photobucket

LC Lauren Conrad:

I love Lauren Conrad's style! I love her California girl look. Her clothes are the kind of clothes I wear. :)

Eyelet Peasant Top, $44 (on sale for $33)
Cuffed Linen shorts, $40

Ruffle Blouse, $34 (on sale for $25.50)
Floral Satin Skirt, $44 (on sale for $33)

Maria Sharapova by Cole Haan:

Air Jasmine Gladiator, $168

Perfect for summer! :D

Ivanka Trump:

"Verena" Thong Sandal, $139.95

*Ummm, I just realized I forgot to look at Beyonce's Dereon line... ooops... maybe, next time?*

But anyway, have you bought any items from any of these celebrity fashion lines? Which of these did you like the best?

:D

Spring's Top Trends: A Recap

Happy Thursday! :)

I've been totally off this week - yesterday I thought it was Thursday, today I thought it was Wednesday! Weeeeeiiird. And I didn't know that it was American Idol's finale last night, but anyway, yay Scotty! ;)

I am excited that the semester is almost over! One thing I'm gonna miss about going to school though is planning my outfits, haha! But that's okay, there's a whole summer for me to dress up.

These past few months I've really tried to change up my style - I started wearing clothes that I would never even think about wearing before, I started using some of my bolder accessories that I haven't touched in years... And it's fun! :D

What about you, have you been changing up your style?

These magazine pages from People go through Spring's top trends, which I'm pretty sure should spill over to Summer. Are there any new Summer fashion trends?

1. Fun Stripes

Photobucket

2. White Shirts

Photobucket

I have some white blouses and plain white tees, but I don't have button-downs. I need to get some. :)

3. Bright Colors

Photobucket

I started wearing my colored jeans again, but I have yet to try wearing bright colors a la Camilla Belle.

4. Trouser Jeans

Photobucket

I don't really have trouser jeans, but my sister gave me some of her linen pants that are on the long side - I was able to wear them like high-waist jeans. :)

5. Pretty Florals

Photobucket

6. Maxi Skirts

Photobucket

I have to get some maxi skirts - but, I am wearing a midi skirt right now. :D

7. Animal Prints

Photobucket

Another trend I love, but my closet lacks!

Which of these seven trends do you like the most? Have you been sporting any of them lately? :D

Grrrr, Blogger + Wishlist: Jeweled Sandals

Happy Friday! :D

I haven't been around Blogger today, but I'm sure you all know about how Blogger was under maintenance yesterday... did you guys lose your last post?

I did -- I lost Wednesday's post and all the comments on it. :(

But anyway, here is the post that got deleted just in case some of you might want to see it:

Photobucket

I was just saying how once Summer starts I am gonna go look for jeweled sandals.

I really like the Valentino one, but it's sooooooo expensive! $1,195?!

And I also shared what I'm doing in school right now, thanks to those who wished me good luck! :D

So yup, I think that's about it. :)

Beauty Watch: Get Sexy Eyes Now

Happy Saturday, everyone! :D

I hope you are all having a lovely weekend.

And I hope all the Moms out there are having the best weekend ever because after all it should be all about them. :)

----------------------------------------------

Some of you may remember from some of my older posts how frustrated I am when it comes to eye makeup - specifically eyeshadow. I don't know, I just can't get it right, but I know one day, I'll get it! I can now apply mascara better than before... eyeliner and eyeshadow, you're next! ;)

If like me, you still need practice with eye makeup, I hope these tips from pro makeup artists help you. For those of you who are really good with eye makeup, let us know if these tricks work for you. :)

Photobucket

Lash Curler - gently curling bare lashes will give them a "beautiful curve"

Eyeliner - to add depth to your look, apply liner to your inner lashline

Shadow - keep lashes the main focus with neutral tones, which blend easily into skin

Highlighter - as a finishing touch, apply on lower lid to make lashes pop

Pointed Tips - use to separate clumpy lashes and spot treat mistakes

Do you have any tips and tricks to add to these?

I've also always wanted to wear falsies, but I have no idea how to put them on and such.

Here are some tips from Kim Kardashian's makeup artist, Joyce Bonelli:

- Short individual lashes give the eye a "feathery, yet natural look". Apply where lashes are sparse, beginning at the inner corner of the eye.

- Tilt your head up while looking into the mirror to expose the top of your lashline and blend falsies in naturally.

- Don't apply mascara to lashes before your falsies are in place. Once lashes are in place, apply mascara sparingly.

Do you wear falsies? Any other tips?

Beyonce

Cameron Diaz

Diane Kruger

I love her makeup and her hair! :D

Kristen Stewart

Mila Kunis

Natalie Portman

Victoria Beckham

And the queen of smoky eyes...

Jennifer Lopez

Whose look did you like the best?

Say It with Flowers: Mother's Day Gift Idea (and some Royal Wedding too!)

Happy Friday, everyone!

It's the last Friday of April, and I think the world started it with a bang. :)

Now that May is coming, it's time to think about what to give our Moms for Mother's Day. :D

A Mother's Day gift idea? Perfume.

Photobucket

1. Banana Republic Wildbloom - camellia and hydrangea, light and neutral = perfect for summer ($48, Banana Republic)

2. Emilio Pucci Vivara Variazioni Verde 072 - neroli and rose blend = for your adventurous side ($59, Sephora)

3. Oscar de la Renta Esprit d'Oscar - jasmine and tuberose with citrus and tonka bean ($98, Nordstrom)

4. Flora by Gucci Eau Fraiche - kumquat, rose, and osmanthus = romantic ($65, Macy's)

5. Christian Dior Milly-la-Foret - mandarin, bergamot, and neroli ($225, www.dior.com)

6. Hermes Iris Ukiyoe - airy floral scent = classic and cool ($235, Hermes)

Okay, I am kinda liking some of these... maybe, if you have some extra money to spend, you can buy a perfume for yourself too! ;)

More floral perfume information from www.sephora.com:

The most popular fragrance family, Floral is a blend of mixed bouquets of jasmine, rose, white peony, gardenia, and tuberose. These fragrances are either pure and flowery, or subtly warmed with a touch of spice or fruit for a soft, powdery finish.

Women who favor floral fragrances are elegant, feminine, and passionate romantics.

Here are three different types of florals, and some perfumes I like :) ---

Floral: Florals blend of one or more of rose, peony, tuberose, jasmine, orchid, lily of the valley - inherently feminine and fabulously flowery.

Ralph Lauren Romance ($45-$78)

Juicy Couture Juicy Couture ($18-$87)

Daisy by Marc Jacobs ($20-$75)

White floral: Pure white blossoms like jasmine, gardenia, and freesia mingle to create opulent essences, often the fragrances of choice for brides-to-be.

Vera Wang Sheer Veil ($92)

Soft Floral: Classic floral notes, such as white flowers and rose, are mixed with powdery notes of iris, vanilla, or a touch of citrus to create a soft and clean scent.

Clinique Happy In Bloom, Limited Edition ($32)

Which of these perfumes sound (and look) good to you? Do you use any of these?

What's your signature perfume?

------------------------------------------------

I know a lot of people here in Los Angeles stayed up all night to watch the live coverage of the Royal Wedding - some had parties, others went to bars in their PJs and tiaras! :)

As for me, well, I fell asleep, haha! ;)

I randomly woke up at 4am (I am the kind of person who sleeps through the night), then I saw the time and decided I should turn on the TV and watch the Royal Wedding like I planned. I saw them singing "God Save the Queen", then I watched it through to their two balcony kisses. Then I went back to sleep. :) I think they'll have a re-run of the entire program later tonight, or otherwise there's always the internet. ;)

But, on to the dress -- I think it is absolutely beautiful! She's beautiful! And her sister looked gorgeous in her white maid-of-honor dress too. :)

Here is a picture of Kate... oh whoops, I mean Her Royal Highness, the Duchess of Cambridge... wearing a second Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen dress for their evening reception.

What did you think of the Royal Wedding?

Have a fantastic weekend! :D
